Como enactment successful 1 of the astir bonzer performances successful Champions League past connected Wednesday, with the Italian broadside signaling a 9-1 triumph implicit Lens.

Anastasios Douvikas struck a hat-trick, portion Nico Paz, Lucas Da Cunha, Marc Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina and Matteo Papaccioli were besides connected the scoresheet successful France.

Como bushed Manchester United 4-1 successful their erstwhile crippled successful the Champions League, and Wednesday's occurrence has near them 4th successful the wide table, picking up 9 points from 4 matches.

The Blue and Whites person netted 19 times successful the league signifier of the 2026-27 Champions League, lone the holders Paris Saint-Germain (20) person more.

Only 2 teams person scored 8 oregon much goals successful a azygous Champions League fixture implicit the past 10 seasons, with Como present connected an elite database with Bayern Munich - 8-2 vs. Barcelona successful 2020 and past 9-2 vs. Dinamo Zagreb successful 2024.

Meanwhile, Como are the archetypal squad to people 9 successful an distant European Cup lucifer since Feyenoord did truthful against Olympiakos Nicosia successful September 1971.

The team's fourth-placed decorativeness successful the 2025-26 Serie A run saw them suffice for the Champions League, and they person already shown that competing astatine this level volition not beryllium an issue.

Highly-rated Fabregas is performing wonders astatine Como

I Biancoblu person immoderate unthinkable players - notably the fantabulous Paz - but truthful overmuch praise has to spell to caput manager Cesc Fabregas, who is already making superior waves successful the absorption game.

Fabregas, who volition crook 40 adjacent May, has won 46, drawn 26 and mislaid 25 of his 97 matches successful complaint of Como since being appointed imperishable caput manager successful July 2024.

Como are 4th successful the Serie A table this play connected 23 points, lone 5 points down the leaders Lazio, and a situation for the rubric cannot beryllium ruled out.

Fabregas has a declaration astatine Como until the summertime of 2028, but Man United should marque an effort to name the Spaniard arsenic their caller caput manager adjacent year.

Man United should effort to bring Fabregas to Old Trafford

Whether that means keeping Michael Carrick and enduring immoderate much symptom is simply a antithetic question entirely; determination is besides the enactment of bringing successful an interim caput manager for the remainder of the season, should the nine yet determine to determination distant from Carrick.

Fabregas' Arsenal and Chelsea connections would marque a determination to Man United a fascinating one, but helium knows the Premier League and besides knows what it takes to triumph it, doing truthful doubly with Chelsea.

The Spaniard was a wonderfully talented midfielder and has shown during his aboriginal absorption vocation that helium tin enactment unneurotic a squad susceptible of playing incredibly breathtaking football.

Como were caput and shoulders supra the Red Devils successful their caller European clash.

Man United indispensable look to the aboriginal with their adjacent appointment, and Fabregas has the imaginable to go 1 of the starring coaches successful satellite shot successful the coming years.
