Alisson Becker was missing from the Liverpool ranks against Bournemouth, having exacerbated a muscular problem against AC Milan in the Champions League. There is still no indication when the Brazilian might return, but Caoimhin Kelleher - who shone at the weekend - was always expected to get the nod in goal here.

Harvey Elliott would have likely been anticipating a start in the EFL Cup, but the Englishman is on the long road to recovery from a foot fracture and is not expected to return before the end of October.
