Lil Wayne Has NSFW Crash Out On NFL Refs After Green Bay Loss: ‘Fake AF’

If the NFL thought it’d seen the last of rapper Lil Wayne‘s crash-outs, think again. On Sunday, September 13, the “A Milli” rapper unleashed on the league’s refs after the Green Bay Packers’ disappointing loss to the Minnesota Vikings. In a series of posts on X, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., said the NFL had become so unwatchable that he was leaving it alone this year.

Lil Wayne, a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and vocal NFL critic, rushed to his X account during the league’s slate of season-opener games and called out the referees.

“Refs in Minnesota game pure pu–y,” he wrote before posting again, telling his 29.6 million followers he wouldn’t watch any more games for the rest of the season.

“Fake af I can’t respect the game when the refs can’t ref the game,” he said. “I’m out on the NFL this year. Wish for it to be an amazing season for all.”

Continuing, Lil Wayne, who sometimes goes by the name Weezy, posted that his “d-k” is “too big for short comings.”

The Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-39 in yesterday’s showdown, ESPN reported. Lil Wayne’s disappointment makes sense for Pack fans, since the Vikings took their first lead with 6:37 remaining and then dominated the rest of the game.

Lil Wayne Criticized Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams

Lil Wayne has been at the center of conflict with the NFL before, according to The Blast. In January 2026, the “Lollipop” performer took a swipe at Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams, criticizing him for painting his nails.

His post came after the Packers’ playoff loss to the Bears. “We just [lost] a playoff game to a n—a w purple nails we fkn suk bear a–! Bare a**,” he wrote. “We don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Straight like that.”

Before that, Lil Wayne made headlines after telling the media that he was crushed when he learned that the NFL chose Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans rather than him.

“They stole that feeling,” Lil Wayne said, adding that it made him not want to do it any further.

“Like Michael Rubin’s all-white parties,” he said. “I’m doing things with Tom Brady. That was all for that. You ain’t never seen me in them types of venues. I ain’t Drake. I ain’t out there smiling like that everywhere. I’m in the studio smokin’ and recording.”

Lil Wayne explained that he began to “blame myself” for not being “mentally prepared for a letdown.” He added that being overlooked “hurt a whole lot,” noting that there wouldn’t have been anything better than being a Super Bowl headliner.

And while Lil Wayne implied he wouldn’t normally hang out with Rubin and his crew, he was posted at this year’s White Party in New York City with a big smile and flashy jewelry, per The Blast.

The list of celebrities included Travis Scott, Draymond Green, Justin Jefferson, Jared McCain, Tate McRae, Alix Earle, Alicia Keys, and more.

Rubin’s annual A-list get-together occurred on July 1, just three days before Taylor Swift tied the knot with Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.

A day before Rubin’s White Party, Lil Wayne made headlines after reports surfaced that he ghosted his concert crowd in Maine.

According to The Blast, Lil Wayne was scheduled to hit the stage at 10:45 PM following 2 Chainz’s opening set. By 11 PM, though, the concert’s promoters told attendees the show had been canceled, leaving several disheartened fans without an explanation from the rapper.

Fortunately for fans, though, Lil Wayne apologized a day later and promised to make it right with a new show on July 28. “I ain’t sh-t without you. I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve,” he said.
