Bayer 04 Leverkusen have been rocked by the news that Jeanuel Belocian has played his last game for the club this season.

The German champions confirmed on Monday that the young defender tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a friendly against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on Sunday.

As a result, Belocian will spend the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign on the sidelines.

Leverkusen paid a reported €15 million to sign the 19-year-old Frenchman from Stade Rennes last summer.

Since then, he has featured nine times for Die Werkself.
