SV Elversberg are close to completing the loan signing of Francis Onyeka, according to Sky. The newly-promoted side have signed 20-year-old Maurice Krattenmacher from FC Bayern on a permanent deal on Friday.

Onyeka is now set to join their bid for survival as the two clubs are reportedly in their final stages of negotiations. The 19-year-old had a successful loan spell with VfL Bochum as he scored eight 2. Bundesliga goals.

Sky added in their report that Leverkusen intend to extend Onyeka’s contract until 2031. The move will give him top-flight experience as he has yet to play in Bundesliga. Onyeka will be the captain of Germany in this summer’s U19 Euros in Wales.
