I heard a rumour about yet another “executive order” from the illustrious Mr. Donald Trump. Apparently, going forward, Canada geese are to be referred to as American geese. OK, probably not true, but let’s not put any more crazy ideas into his head. Stay the course, Canada, there could be a bumpy road ahead.

Mark Carney’s Liberal predecessor, Justin Trudeau, was caught on a hot mic chatting to Boris Johnson, Emmanuel Macron, Mark Rutte and Princess Anne, saying, “I just watched his team’s jaws drop to the floor” during his 40-minute press conference. Classy welcome to international politics from America’s neighbour and closest ally! If you recall, Donald Trump left early and called Trudeau “two-faced.” Do you really think the likes of Carney and Doug Ford will turn the page? Canada should suck it up and listen to Danielle Smith. Believe me, Trump can get a lot worse, starting with his renaming a Great Lake. I get no satisfaction from our dorky leaders dismissing Trump as the schoolyard bully. There are a lot of very tough bullies and Trump is one of them. As we used to say in the Swinging Sixties, “Get Real” or it can cost us a lot!
