ALBERTA’S RAW DEAL
Re “Kicking the hornet’s nest” (Warren Kinsella, May 24): Alberta separatism is based on the fact that federal Liberal governments have been hindering the development of Alberta and the country, and now with a seemingly closet-communist prime minister are implementing creeping communism into Canada. Alberta has gotten a poor deal from federalism, and the current government is still anti-oil. The separatist movement might just help defeat the Liberals and pave the way for a better future for the country.

(The frustration has been building for years. What did the Liberals think was going to happen? Alberta deserves better, and we need them to remain)

WRONG SPENDING PLAN
Our leaders need to get it. Fast. With so many people homeless and starving, we cannot afford to spend money on ceremonial visits as we did with King Charles recently. Or on costly out-of-country missions. Have our leaders ever heard of Zoom? How this is not understood by them is very frustrating and confusing. I can only assume all the haves do not have the compassion to comprehend the obvious struggles of the many and ever-increasing have-nots. Any available funds our country has need to be spent helping those at the bottom — not feting those at the top. To our leaders I say, ‘Get your heads out of you know where and start helping the people who elected you.’ Enough is enough.
