Prior to the prime minister’s resignation announcement, I had intense objections to this man and his policies governing Canada. I thought he was ill-educated in political science. But, as a drama teacher, he excelled in playing, loved the part of king on the world stage, looking for fame at the expense of Canadians. How he got this far is bewildering. More so, is that the Liberal Party supported him. Characters in his drama. So, who in the Liberal Party is any different from him? Why would any of us vote for them? Now, after his announcement, I can only pity him and wonder if he could repent, recognize and acknowledge his poor legacy he has left Parliament and all Canadians. Perhaps he’ll get counselling and then have a part in a local drama most suiting his education and maturity.

(Trudeau just did interviews with friendly media in the US and blamed “right wing” conspiracies for his lack of popularity. He has no remorse)
WHY RUN?
I’m not sure Warren Kinsella is seeing this the right way. (“Take your pick,” Jan. 7): He’s implying that as long as the Liberals get rid of Justin Trudeau, the Liberal Party can turn its fortunes around. That’s like swapping out the captain of the Titanic after it hits the iceberg and believing that now everything is now fine. Why would Christy Clark want to become the Kim Campbell of 2025?

(Perhaps the appeal of being prime minister – even briefly – is attractive enough)
FORD FOR PM
Here is a thought: Doug Ford for prime minister of Canada! Let’s face it, with no functioning federal government, he is doing most of the work defending our jobs and identity. Maybe add Danielle Smith as deputy prime minister? Let’s stop buying American wine and spirits, etc. Who needs U.S.-made cars, we can make our own.

(Smith and Ford are filling the massive leadership void left by the incompetent Trudeau Liberals)
