Re “Trudeau looks clueless” (Brian Lilley, Dec. 27): I recall ‘Governor Trudeau’ himself stating that Canada is a post-national state with no core identity or mainstream culture. Why would anyone be surprised that Donald Trump considers it unclaimed territory for settlement.

TRUDEAU DITHERS
While Trudeau dithers on the ski slopes, Canadians are getting increasingly anxious that bully Trump is getting close to inauguration day. Trudeau should, for the good of Canada, immediately recall Parliament so a non-confidence vote can proceed or to call an election. After a six-week election ending around the second week of February. At least the new prime minister would have a strong mandate to face bully President Trump sooner than later. Quit dithering, Trudeau! Act now!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Re “Party’s over for 2024’s losers” (Warren Kinsella, Dec. 28): I would just like to thank Justin Trudeau for all his work on helping Canadians. We now have enough homeless, enough unaffordable housing, enough people lined up at food banks, enough unaffordable food, enough Illegal migrants, enough disenchanted immigrants, enough guns being used, enough crime, enough desperate people, and enough divisiveness — you worked hard at these things and deserve your early retirement.

OUR HANDS ARE TIED
To most Canadians, myself certainly included, the Liberals, NDP and Bloc have proven beyond a doubt that their personal and party welfare take precedent over all else. Further, they rejoice in the fact there’s not a thing we can do about it.

SHAPIRO AND ATKINS MIA
Does anyone know when Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins are returning from their protracted vacation? Other MLB teams are hard at work improving their teams.
