As RB Leipzig prepare for Saturday's topspiel clash with Bayern Munich, David Raum is adopting a cautious approach to the game.
“We don’t see ourselves as complete underdogs, but we have to admit, given Bayern’s quality it is tough," he told Sky Germany.
"Especially in recent years, how things have gone for them and how the past two years have gone for us, we’re not quite on the same level.
"We have to be realistic about that. Nevertheless, we have the squad and the quality to cause Bayern problems.
“And certainly we could come away with something. That’s why we’re heading there with confidence,” the Leipzig captain said.
Last season, the German record champions dished out a pair of chastening 6-0 and 5-1 defeats on the side from Saxony.
