Kylie Jenner has finally landed her first major acting role, but it comes with a death twist!
The shocking twist happens almost immediately in “The Bachelorette Weekend,” but that early exit is what makes her role so intriguing. Her character’s death sets the story in motion, leaving the rest of the cast to deal with what follows.
Kylie Jenner grew up in the spotlight as the youngest daughter of Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner, making her television debut with her family on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in 2007. She later built Kylie Cosmetics and expanded into fashion, beauty, and entertainment, eventually moving from reality TV into acting with roles beyond playing herself.
Inside Kylie Jenner’s Brief But Star Role In ‘Bachelorette Weekend’
OConnor-Arroyo / AFF-USA.com / MEGAKylie’s character may be at the center of “Bachelorette Weekend,” but she will not be around for most of the thriller. The series takes a dark turn when the bride, played by Kylie, is murdered during her bachelorette weekend, immediately transforming what should have been a celebration into a murder investigation.
Her death serves as the series’ mystery. While the story attempts to piece together what happened in the hours leading up to the murder, Kylie’s character is still a constant in the narrative even after her death, with her closest girlfriends being suspects in the case.
That setup gives the reality star a surprisingly unconventional introduction to scripted television. Rather than simply following a character through an entire season, Kylie will anchor the story through a death that forces the other women to confront what happened and question how well they really knew the bride.
The Unexpected Script Is A Major Acting Debut
ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGAAccording to Deadline, the project is set to mark Kylie’s first major acting role, while also giving her a producing credit alongside Kim Kardashian and writer Lauren Oliver. The opportunity came after Kardashian was sent the script and saw it as a strong starring vehicle for her younger sister.
The thriller began as a spec script based on Flora Collins’ unpublished book and was developed by Oliver’s StoryGiants and Kapital Entertainment. Once Kardashian passed the script to Kylie, the sisters quickly came on board, with Kardashian executive producing and Kylie stepping into the lead role.
The project then moved quickly toward Hulu through Kardashian’s first-look deal with 20th Television. Hulu bought it preemptively and took it off the market with a straight-to-series order still being negotiated, giving Kylie a major scripted project at a time when she has been increasingly testing what she can do beyond reality television.

Kylie Jenner Turned A Joke Into Her First Major Acting Step
MEGABefore landing the Hulu thriller, Kylie had already started testing her acting skills with a role she helped create herself. In her Vanity Fair cover story, she explained that she pitched the idea for her appearance in Charli xcx’s “The Moment” to director Aidan Zamiri as a joke, believing it would be a comfortable way to try acting because she already knew both Zamiri and Charli.
The idea quickly became real when Charli embraced it, and the filmmakers wrote Kylie into the movie. She played a fictionalized version of herself opposite Charli in an Ibiza spa scene, giving Kylie her first big-screen acting opportunity and a chance to see how she felt in front of the camera in a scripted setting.
The experience appears to have encouraged Kylie to take the next step. She told Vanity Fair that she had received several scripts but had not found the right one yet, adding, “I 100% want to do more.” She also said, “I really like comedy. I think I’m good at it,” hinting that audiences could see a very different side of her in future roles.
Fear Made Some Acting Opportunities Hard To Accept
TheRealSPW / MEGAThat excitement about acting did not mean every opportunity felt easy to take. In a May appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast, Kylie admitted that she had already turned down several acting offers, including some she later regretted passing on.
According to The Independent, she explained that some opportunities came with little time to make a decision, leaving her unsure about whether to accept them. “I get in my head about it, and I end up saying no out of fear,” she said, revealing the hesitation behind some of those choices.
Still, the experience of “The Moment” appeared to push her toward taking acting more seriously. After finding a comfortable way into the industry through that cameo, Kylie now has a much bigger opportunity in “Bachelorette Weekend,” where the challenge will be stepping into a role that requires her to carry a scripted thriller.
Kylie Jenner’s Family Dynamic Adds Another Layer To Her Acting Move
Lumeimages / MEGAThat support from within the family comes with plenty of teasing, too. In a family Q&A shared in August, Kylie was asked to choose her favorite sister and ultimately picked Kendall Jenner, but only after making it clear that the answer could change by the day.
The Blast reported that she called Kendall her “favorite of the day” after initially saying she did not like picking favorites. Kim Kardashian did not escape the playful questioning either. When asked which family member had the worst dance moves, Kylie pointed to Kim, joking:
“Probably your auntie Kiki. I think she’d be okay with me saying that.”
The playful dynamic is notable because Kim is also helping Kylie make this next career move. While Kylie’s path into acting has included fear and hesitation, “Bachelorette Weekend” gives her the chance to take a much bigger step with her sister involved behind the scenes.
Could this be the role that finally proves Kylie Jenner is ready for a much bigger place in scripted television?
