One Piece chapter 1126, which is scheduled to release on September 15, 2024, is bound to bring some major twists in the series as the Straw Hat Pirates sail towards Elbaf. These twists were recently revealed through the spoilers of the chapter that have been gaining a lot of traction on the internet. And the one thing that the chapter will once again shed some light on is Kuzan’s battle with Garp.

According to the spoilers, Blackbeard has finally reached Hachinosu Island, and while he is enraged that Koby and Gecko Moria managed to escape, he is also thrilled by the fact that Kuzan managed to take down his former mentor, Monkey D. Garp. However, even after the battle between Garp and Kuzan, One Piece fans are still not convinced that the former Admiral has sided with one of the biggest antagonists of the series.

The former Admiral joined the Blackbeard Pirates after he resigned from the Marines as he lost his duel against Sakazuki for the post of Fleet Admiral of the Navy. Ever since then, he has been helping Blackbeard in his cause.

However, the theory states that the way Eiichiro Oda drew Kuzan after his battle against Garp, it looks like he might be Blackbeard’s enemy. He is just sailing with Blackbeard to find out more about his plans and possibly stop him. This assumption comes from the fact that whenever Oda has drawn the Admirals into a battle scenario, they are all facing their enemy alone.

Be it Sakazuki against the Whitebeard Pirates, Kizaru against Sanji and Luffy in the Egghead Island arc, or Ryokugyu against the nine red scabbards, Momonosuke, and Yamato in Wano. All of them have had the same pose as Kuzan when he was facing the Blackbeard Pirates after defeating Garp.

If the theory holds any grounds, then it can be stated that Kuzan is well-focused on his mission of taking down Blackbeard. So much so that he is ready to fight his former mentor, Monkey D. Garp, and even kill him. This would prove that Kuzan is the Professor Snape of One Piece who is even ready to sacrifice his mentor for his mission.

There is a chance that even though Blackbeard agreed to let Kuzan join his crew, he might not have trusted him entirely because of his status as a former Admiral.
