Kristy Sarah, one of TikTok’s most influential lifestyle and family influencers, does everything better in heels. Case in point: the 31-year-old went viral last summer for pulling off the Nicki Minaj pose challenge, in which TikTokkers copied the rapper’s cross-legged squat in sky-high pumps like she did in her 2013 “High School” music video. The former computer programmer—who has a combined following of more than 27 million across TikTok and Instagram—took the challenge to the next level by balancing on top of two stacked dumbbells in a pair of black stilettos. “I literally got it on my first take,” she says of her impressive balancing act.
That video, one of her most popular, with more than 99.5 million views, speaks to what the Texas-based mom of two boys does best: make chaos look effortless. Whether she’s LED-masking while her sons wear Spider-Man and Iron Man masks or changing the sheets on her comically oversized mattress (while in heels, of course), her family-friendly content feels spontaneous even if it is anything but. “A lot of the time that 32-second video took like three days to execute,” she says. “It’s just not as glamorous behind the scenes.” Earlier this year, she filed for divorce from her husband of 11 years, who was a fixture on her feed. One thing that hasn’t changed: her dedication to her kids. “The most challenging aspect of balancing family time and content creation is just that social media never clocks out, so I've had to set my personal boundaries of only working while the boys are at school,” she says. “Whenever they get home, I just shut everything down and immerse myself in being a mom.”
