Joshua Kimmich replied “absolutely” when asked whether Bayern Munich's aim for next season is to claim an historic treble.

“Success is certainly a reward, but it's also always a challenge to confirm it and make it even better.

"That will be the task for next year. Of course, we need to make a few adjustments. We've lost a few players in Leon, Rapha, and Nicolas.

“We'll have to replace them well, and then hopefully we'll be able to challenge again,” Kimmich said, speaking to BILD.

Regarding the upcoming 2026 World Cup with Germany, the 31-year-old expressed his joy over Manuel Neuer's return and being his captain for the first time.

“I'm extremely happy about that [Neuer's Germany comeback]. We've been playing together for eleven years now.

"Everyone knows who we have back there in goal. That's why I'm so pleased that he'll be involved this summer.

“Yes, that’s true. Now he really needs to get his act together [laughs]. I hadn’t even thought about that yet. I’ll tell him right away," he said in a joking manner.
