Ken Urker’s Sister Says He Was ‘Terrified’ Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard Before His Death

Ken Urker’s sister claims her brother confided in her about fears surrounding his relationship with Gypsy Rose Blanchard before his death. Autumn alleged that Urker said he was “terrified” of his former fiancée and worried about their daughter, Aurora. She also claimed he wanted to bring the little girl to his mother’s home.

The allegations come after Urker was found dead at his Louisiana residence on October 1, his 34th birthday. Blanchard has described him as an amazing father and her forever soulmate, while authorities continue investigating his death.

During an interview with the Daily Mail, Autumn shared what she said her brother had told her about his relationship with Blanchard. According to Autumn, Urker said he was “terrified” of his former fiancée and felt that she “humiliated him.”

She also alleged that arguments between the pair involved Blanchard accusing him of behaving like her mother. “It was her way or she was screaming at him because he was trying to control her like her mother. Gypsy is not this sweet person,” Autumn claimed.

Blanchard and Urker had reunited in 2024 after an earlier engagement ended years before. They welcomed their daughter that December but separated again before his death, according to the Daily Mail.

Ken’s Sister Alleges He Had Concerns About Aurora

Autumn also claimed that Urker’s worries extended to the daughter he shared with Blanchard. She alleged that he did not believe Blanchard would keep Aurora “safe” and hoped to take the child “back home” to his mother. According to Autumn, Urker felt he had “failed Aurora because of Gypsy.”

Blanchard, meanwhile, addressed Aurora’s future in her statement following Urker’s death. She promised to “make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her.” She also said she wanted their daughter to know “who [Urker] was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him.”

Aurora Raina was born in December 2024, months after the pair rekindled their relationship.

Autumn Remembers Her Brother As A ‘Good Father’

While discussing the concerns she said Urker shared, Autumn also spoke about the person her family had lost. She described her brother as a “great man” who “didn’t care if you were broken, he would still love you. He would still fight for you. He tried so hard for Gypsy because he was that person.”

Autumn said her brother’s care extended beyond his romantic relationship. “My brother was a good father. A good brother. A good son and a good friend. And we were all lucky and blessed to have known him,” she said.

Urker first reached out to Blanchard in 2017 after watching an HBO documentary about her life. He sent a supportive letter while she was incarcerated, and their correspondence eventually became romantic. He proposed in 2018, but they later separated. Blanchard went on to marry Ryan Anderson before reuniting with Urker after that marriage ended.

Police Report Details The Discovery At Urker’s Home

According to an incident report obtained by the Daily Mail, Urker was found in bed at his residence in Raceland, Louisiana. Blanchard’s sister-in-law, Anita, told investigators she had attended church with him the previous evening. She said Urker “made comments of being depressed and upset.”

Anita and her husband went to check on him the following day and called for help when he failed to answer the door. The report described Urker as “cold to the touch” when he was found. Police documented syringes, a spoon and a “brown powdery substance” nearby, along with a handgun in its holster on the bedside table.

Anita also told officers that Urker had streamed on TikTok at around 11 p.m. Wednesday. She said he “just had the video going while he was driving without him saying anything.”

Authorities are continuing to investigate. The report’s description of the scene does not establish a final cause or manner of death.

Blanchard has said she suspects Urker died from an overdose, while acknowledging she did not know whether it was intentional. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not. He was not in a good state of mind lately,” she told PEOPLE. “I’m in disbelief. I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”

In a statement to TMZ, she said she sent Urker a birthday text but never received a reply. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved,” Blanchard said.

She added that he would “forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”

Blanchard also described the online harassment she said he faced, calling the “cruelty directed toward him” something “no human being should have to endure.”
