Hamburger SV appear to have found their replacement for Stefan Kuntz, who left his role as board member for sport at the start of January.

According to several reports, Kathleen Krüger is set to take over the vacant position in the summer.

Krüger, who currently serves as head of organisation and infrastructure at Bayern Munich, is expected to sign her contract shortly after the supervisory board backed her to take over the role at a meeting on Tuesday evening.

She is set to jointly lead HSV’s executive board alongside Eric Huwer, with organisation, infrastructure and corporate communications expected to fall under her remit. Transfer dealings, meanwhile, are likely to remain with sporting director Claus Costa.

The position has been vacant since Kuntz left the club four months ago following allegations of serious misconduct.
