Kate Beckinsale Told Sheer Braless Dress Is 'Showing Too Much'

Kate Beckinsale pulled out all the stops for her jaw-dropping red-carpet appearance in Cannes last year, but she wasn't met with much love. Flaunting her incredible figure as she approached her 50th birthday, the British actress sizzled in a skintight, sheer dress, going unusual with a bodysuit-come-skirt look while rocking a pale pistachio green shade. Showing off her impossibly toned legs in a custom-made Zuhair Murad number, Kate wound up front-page news, but she also wound up slammed. Users on The Daily Mail were quick to shame Kate, with a popular reply even telling her she was showing "too much."

Modeling a beaded, short shorts jumpsuit in heavily embellished, sheer fabrics, Kate highlighted her toned silhouette in long sleeves, rocking a conservative neckline, but making up for it via that see-through finish. With lacy, beaded detailing protecting her modesty, the Pearl Harbor star flashed her braless cleavage tastefully, showing some chest but nothing too racy.

Displaying her tiny waist with her massive ballroom skirt billowing around her, Kate chose a lower half that left her legs totally exposed, completing her glamorous look with gold platform heels.

Accentuating her waist with a large bow detail, Kate kept her look feminine and funky, wearing her locks in a high ponytail and with a curled hanging strand framing her face. The mom of one added warming, matte makeup, a rosy red lip, plus green earrings to match her outfit.

Gaining over 150 likes was a user replying: "Kate is a very striking lady. But that outfit is a disaster." Another, meanwhile, said: "So surprised at Kate. It shows too much, including her clearly plastic chest. She didn't need to do this. She normally looks so well." Choosing to go down the sarcastic route, a third agreed as they wrote: "Why not have a nudist night at Cannes and satisfy the level of exhibitionism that is off the scale?"

2024 Weight Loss Sparks Ugly Storm

Kate Beckinsale began sparking health concerns as she updated her Instagram from a hospital bed earlier this year, although, at the time, the actress gave no reason for her hospitalization. More recently, though, she made headlines for addressing her very visible weight loss, doing so in clap-back fashion after a fan told her to do some "squats."

'Stress And Grief' Behind Weight Loss

Revealing the reason for her weight loss in July, Kate responded:

"No, actually, I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief...," adding: “Quite quickly and then I was in hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard..."
