Joshua Williford’s Instagram bio reads, “I’m the best rapper/chef alive.” And truthfully, there may be no one tackling that unique hybrid better than he is. Known as “the Rapping Chef” online, the Houston native has grown a following of over 5 million across TikTok and Instagram. Food content is quite a congested lane, but Williford, 36, has literally broken through the noise with his “rap-cipes,” using instrumentals to popular records as he raps the ingredients and steps to make his dishes. Some of his greatest hits include pork tenderloin to the tune of Nas’ “One Mic” and his arguable magnum opus, pad see ew over the twinkling keys of Fantasia’s “When I See U.” One of his most notable breakthrough moments came when Gordon Ramsay complimented his video making crème brûlée while rapping over the beat of Drake and Jay-Z’s “Pound Cake / Paris Morton 2.” And if his partnerships with PayPal, Ninja, and Uber Eats and his YouTube-sponsored panel about mastering virality at SXSW 2025 were any indication, Williford will still be the “best rapper/chef” in 2026 and beyond.
