I’ve always believed that the best bra for you is the one you forget you’re wearing. But during the hottest, most humid months of the year, that’s a high bar to clear. In fact, I’ve only found one that actually achieves the feat: Thirdlove’s TempSync T-Shirt Bra. The brand sent me a sample when it launched in May 2025, saying the undergarment has features that regulate your temperature and pull moisture (a.k.a. boob sweat) away from your body. And to my surprise, that’s what I experienced when I wore it.

What to know

Beyond supporting and shaping your chest, Thirdlove’s TempSync T-Shirt Bra is designed with features that help keep you cool. It’s made with 37.5 Tech fabric, a material that has active particles from naturally occurring volcanic minerals embedded into it. They respond to your body’s heat and humidity in real time, regulating your temperature so you’re never too warm, according to Thirdlove. The brand says the material also pulls moisture away from your body, dries quickly and doesn’t hold onto odors. And since the thermoregulating minerals are built into the bra’s fabric instead of applied as an additional coating or finish, they don’t wear off over time.

In addition to the fabric itself being breathable, meaning air freely flows through it and moisture easily escapes, its cups and bridge are, too. (The bridge, also called the center gore, is the part that connects the cups in the middle.) The cups are perforated and the bridge is made from mesh.

Other than that, the TempSync T-Shirt Bra is pretty standard. It gives you moderate coverage, and it has a flexible underwire, an adjustable hook-and-eye back closure and adjustable, convertible shoulder straps you can wear straight or crossback. The bra is also tagless, eliminating potential itching or scratching.

I originally planned on reserving the TempSync Bra for the warm, humid summer months since I find it so cooling, breathable and quick-drying in sweaty situations. But because I’m so comfortable in it, and it supports and shapes my chest exactly how I want a reliable bra to, I wear it year-round. It’s reassuring to know my bra won’t cause me to overheat regardless of the season — I’m grateful for it in the winter when I have thick layers under my heavy coat and every building turns up the heat.

Why I love Thirdlove’s TempSync T-Shirt Bra

Doesn’t trap heat to keep me temperate

I was skeptical about whether this bra would live up to being as cooling as it promises, but after using it for over a year, I’m continuously impressed. I practically forget I’m wearing it because the specialized, lightweight fabric, perforated cups and mesh detail prevent it from trapping heat whether I’m outdoors in high temperature and humidity levels, or indoors wearing thick clothes with the heat turned up. The bra isn’t necessarily cold against my skin, but there’s constant airflow, so it never makes me feel warmer than I already am — I’m always happily temperate. I have a few other favorite T-shirt bras, like Natori’s Bliss Perfection Comfort T-Shirt Bra and Spanx’s SpanxSuperSmooth BraVa Lightly Lined Bra, but compared to the TempSync Bra, they trap heat instead of actively helping cool me down.

Dries very quickly so I never feel damp

Thirdlove’s TempSync T-Shirt Bra doesn’t completely eliminate boob sweat, but I didn’t expect it to. Unlike typical T-shirt bras, I just wanted this one to dry quickly so that when I inevitably started sweating, I didn’t feel damp and gross for the rest of the day, and the moisture didn’t make unwelcome marks on my clothes. That’s exactly what this bra does. If I’m sweating or have moisture on my skin from the humidity, the bra’s fabric soaks it up and starts drying simultaneously — that means it can’t get fully saturated and there’s no time for the wetness to cause long-lasting odors or make its way onto my clothes. I can’t remember a time when I’ve ever felt sticky for hours in Thirdlove’s bra, which is a big improvement from other options I’ve tried.

Comfortably supports and shapes my larger chest

I previously wore unlined bras during the summer months because their lack of pads cause them to hold onto less heat and moisture than lined bras. However, that meant I had to compromise on support and shaping. Unlined bras don’t give my larger chest the uniform rounded shape or extra lift that I want, especially under tighter tops, limiting me to pairing them with loose-fitting clothes. Also, because unlined bras’ cups are made from a thin layer of fabric, there’s absolutely no nipple concealment.

With Thirdlove’s Tempsync T-Shirt Bra, I get the best of both worlds: the cooling effect and breathability of unlined bras, and the support, shaping and nipple concealment of lined bras. I can throw anything on top of the bra without thinking and know I’ll feel comfortable and confident, which is why I’ve adopted it as my everyday bra. Plus, the underwire and band lay flat against my ribcage without ever poking me or chaffing, and I love that the cups’ have enough coverage to avoid spillage, but not too much that they totally eliminate cleavage.
