NEC Nijmegen are expected to turn down a €15 million offer from TSG Hoffenheim for Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano, according to Dutch outlet SoccerNews.

The Dutch club are said to be holding out for around €20 million for Sano, who has also been linked with VfB Stuttgart.

The 22-year-old is the younger brother of Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano.

Nijmegen paid just €450,000 to sign Kodai Sano from Japanese side Fagiano Okayama in 2023.

He scored three goals and provided eight assists in 39 appearances for the club last season.
