Albian Hajdari has signed a new long-term contract with TSG Hoffenheim.

The Bundesliga club confirmed the extension for the Swiss defender on Friday, without disclosing the length of the deal.

“Albian joined us shortly after the start of last season last summer and has developed into a key player and regular starter in a very short space of time,” said TSG Hoffenheim sporting managing director Andreas Schicker.

“From day one, he fully identified with our project at TSG and, through his performances, has made a major contribution to our current successful season. At just 22 years old, he still has significant development potential. His strong left foot, defensive versatility, and outstanding mentality are his defining qualities.”

Hajdari, who joined Hoffenheim from Swiss top-flight side FC Lugano last summer, said:

“I feel very comfortable in Hoffenheim. Even when I joined in the summer, I quickly realised that something special is being built here. The perspective is right, and I want to continue playing my part in this positive development and in TSG’s success.”
