Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K Warbond Full Breakdown – New Armor, Stratagem, Weapons & More

Helldivers 2 has officially lifted the curtain on its next crossover, and this time it’s heading into the grim darkness of the far future. Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed the Castellan’s Creed Legendary Warbond, a collaboration with Warhammer 40K that brings the iconic Astra Militarum’s elite Kasrkin soldiers into Super Earth’s ongoing Second Galactic War.

Launching on August 12, the Warbond packs new weapons, armor sets, a Stratagem, cosmetics, and more, all inspired by one of Warhammer 40K’s most recognizable military regiments. Here’s everything included in the long-time-coming Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K Legendary Warbond.

Every Armor Set in the Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K Warbond

The Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K collaboration includes two Kasrkin-inspired armor sets. While one is a medium armor and the other is a heavy variant, both share the same new True Grit passive, making your support weapons easier to handle and quicker to reload:

TG-8 Sharpshooter (Medium)

The TG-8 Sharpshooter is the Warbond’s medium armor set, recreating the iconic look of the Cadian Kasrkin. Its biggest draw, however, is the new True Grit passive, which grants +20 Weapon Handling and +30% Support Weapon Reload Speed.

Those bonuses should make support weapons feel much smoother to use, especially ones with lengthy reload animations or heavier recoil. If you’re looking for a balanced armor set that doesn’t sacrifice mobility, the TG-8 Sharpshooter looks like the obvious pick.

TG-122 Demo-Trooper (Heavy)

If survivability is more your style, the TG-122 Demo-Trooper offers the same True Grit passive in a heavy armor package. It also comes with the same True Grit passive, granting +20 Weapon Handling and +30% Support Weapon Reload Speed, so your choice between the two comes down to whether you value mobility or protection.

Since both armor sets offer identical perks, the decision is likely to come down to your preferred armor class and which Kasrkin-inspired look you want to take into battle.

Every Stratagem & Weapon in the Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K Warbond

The Castellan’s Creed Warbond adds four new tools to your arsenal: a support weapon Stratagem, a primary weapon, a sidearm, and a throwable. All of them are inspired by the Cadian Kasrkin, bringing some of Warhammer 40K‘s most iconic equipment into Helldivers 2.

40-K Meltagun (Support Weapon Stratagem)

The Meltagun is easily the standout addition of the Warbond, arriving as a new support weapon Stratagem. In Warhammer 40K, it’s one of the Imperium’s go-to anti-armor weapons, firing a concentrated beam of thermal energy capable of punching through even the toughest targets.

Arrowhead has stayed true to that identity, describing it as a short-range weapon that is capable of “reducing steel to slag.” If you prefer getting up close and personal with democracy’s enemies, the Meltagun looks set to reward that aggressive playstyle with devastating anti-armor damage.

R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle (Primary Weapon)

The R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle is the Warbond’s new primary weapon. Inspired by the Hot-shot Lasgun carried by Kasrkin troops, it appears to be built around precision without sacrificing versatility.

Arrowhead says it’s just as deadly at close range as it is from afar, which does sound like it could make it one of the more versatile primaries in Helldivers 2.

P/40-K Bolt Pistol (Secondary Weapon)

Few weapons are as synonymous with Warhammer 40K as the Bolt Pistol, and it’s finally making its way into Helldivers 2 as a new sidearm.

Arrowhead describes it as a versatile sidearm with immense stopping power, staying true to the weapon’s reputation in Warhammer 40K. Whether it ends up being the hardest-hitting pistol in the game remains to be seen, but it’s definitely one of the crossover’s biggest attractions.

G/40-K Meltamine (Throwable)

Rounding out the gameplay additions is the G/40-K Meltamine, a proximity mine that burns anything caught in its blast. Like every explosive in Helldivers 2, High Command warns that it’s just as dangerous to your squad as it is to the enemy, so placement will be key.

It looks best suited for defending objectives, locking down chokepoints, or covering your team’s retreat, giving squads another powerful area-denial option to work with.
