Has the US reckoned with its own history?

This week, the United States marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Since its founding, the state has transformed itself done large advances successful technology, economical powerfulness and civilian rights.

But those gains present beryllium alongside deepening governmental divisions, resurgent racism and renewed attacks connected civilian rights.

So, 250 years on, tin the US genuinely reckon with its past – and what does that mean for its future?
