Whether you are working through the Welcome to Japan Summer Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 6 or just strolling around for some Touge challenges in town, it might be worth knowing exactly where you can find the Hakone Nanamagari Touge Race in the game.
For the Festival Playlist challenge, you will need to actually win it behind the wheel of the 2022 Toyota GR86, and we will guide you on exactly where to find this event and how to unlock it in the first place.
Where to Find the Hakone Nanamagari Touge Race in Forza Horizon 6
Hakone Nanamagari Touge Race location | Credit: Playground GamesThe Hakone Nanamagari Touge event is tucked into the Nangan region in the southwest corner of the Forza Horizon 6 map. Your best landmark to get there is the Irokawa Space Centre near the bottom-left edge of the map. Once you spot it, look just north, where you’ll be able to see a tight group of snake-like roads. That’s the event.
If the race icon isn’t appearing for you, there are likely two reasons. First, you may not have physically discovered the road yet. If the roads appear greyed out on your map, start driving over them to unlock them, and as soon as you reach the location of the event, the map updates, and the event unlocks.
Additionally, the race is a B-class event with a 600 power rating cap, so if your GR86 is turned above that threshold, you won’t be able to participate in it, at least with the Toyota, leaving the Festival Playlist incomplete.
How to Win the Hakone Nanamagari Touge Race

The whole track is narrow, downhill, and packed with hairpin corners that will punish your car if its tune is even a bit more aggressive than required. To complete the Festival Playlist challenge, you’ll need to do it in a 2022 Toyota GR86, which can be bought from the Autoshow for 28,000 CR if you don’t already own it. Moreover, completing the challenge earns you 25,000 CR and five summer season points.
If you don’t know how to tune the car yourself, I would suggest heading over to the Setup Manager in your Car Tuning options and downloading and installing a pre-made tune. I used the Weekly Touge tune by OldManTurtle757, which cost me 42,700 CR on top of the stock GR86. You can use this tune yourself by putting in this share code: 642 119 952.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that your rival racer will very possibly launch ahead of you as the race begins, but with the right tune, you’ll catch up easily in the very first few corners.

Take your time learning the rhythm of the hairpins rather than fighting the car. The Hakone Nanamagari Touge is one of FH6’s most technically demanding events, but with the right tune and a bit of patience, it’s very winnable.
