Gladbach announce return for Virkus

Roland Virkus has returned to Borussia Mönchengladbach in a new role.

Borussia Mönchengladbach have welcomed back Roland Virkus in a role within the club's scouting department.

Virkus, who stepped down as managing director for sport at the end of September last year, will take up a new position focused on coach scouting.

“Roland has demonstrated his expertise over many years at Borussia, both as a youth coach and in identifying talented coaches during his time as academy director. We want to continue making the best possible use of that wealth of experience for Borussia,” said André Hechelmann, the club’s director of scouting and recruitment.

“I’m looking forward to working with him and having his expertise within our team as we continue to develop a more professional structure for scouting talented young coaches.”
