For some couples, getting together time can be tough.

For one couple in Pennsylvania, they managed to eke out some quality time, but it ended going horribly awry when their vehicle rolled into a river.

The two people were “enjoying each other’s company” in the early hours of Aug. 28 before the car entered the water, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department told KYW.

Police responded to a call around 4:15 a.m.

Cops believed the pair was “getting busy” when the vehicle was accidentally shifted into gear and went into the water, the spokesperson told WCAU.

No one was injured in the incident as both individuals — who have not been identified — were able to escape the vehicle before it rolled into the water and they were unharmed, officials said.

Dive crews began pulling the vehicle out of the river at about 8:30 a.m., about four hours after cops arrived at the scene.

It’s the second car in as many weeks to end up in the Schuylkill River, the outlet reported.

Police pulled a vehicle out of the river on Aug. 16, but found no one inside or any passengers in the area.
