According to a report in BILD this morning, the Croatian Football Federation is making a strong effort to sign Luca Vozar.

The FC Schalke 04 talent is eligible to play for both Germany and Croatia, but has not yet played for either nations' youth teams.

At club level, his potential has been rewarded last Thursday, as Vozar extended his contract with the Gelsenkirchen club until 2029.

The tabloid also adds that the midfielder, who made against FC Bayern, had received offers from several second division clubs in summer.

Vozar is the second Schalke player in a matter of days to be involved in discussions regarding the future of his international career.

Rumours of the 19-year-old follows teammate Sofiane El-Faouzi who switched allegiance from Germany to Morocco on Friday morning.
