Fulham initiate talks with Augsburg for Matsima, also keen on Frankfurt's Larsson

The Augsburg central defender and Frankfurt midfielder are both topics of interest for the London club who are eagerly looking for reinforcements.

With deadline day approaching, interest in FC Augsburg's Chrislain Matsima has resurfaced, according to Sky Germany.

The Bavarian club looked to have fended off interest in the Frenchman, but now it appears Fulham FC are monitoring the defender. 

As reported by the pay-TV channel late this evening, talks are already underway between the London club and Augsburg.

Meanwhile, Sky also confirmed that Fulham have prying eyes elsewhere in the Bundesliga, namely Hugo Larsson. 

The Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder was recently linked with Crystal Palace and another unnamed Premier League outfit. 

Now, Sky Germany's sources have revealed that the Cottagers are in for the 22-year-old Swedish international alongside Matsima. 

However, after holding negotiations with Crystal Palace last week, Larsson is expected back in Frankfurt's training tomorrow.
