Kicker.de are reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt has expressed a general interest in Bayer Leverkusen's Robert Andrich.
The Hessen outfit are believed to be on the lookout for a robust and “experienced defensive midfielder” for next season.
Still, it remains to be seen whether Andrich would actually leave Leverkusen should Eintracht settle on him as their top target.
It therefore seems quite possible that Andrich will first assess his prospects under Leverkusen's new head coach Carles Martínez.
In the long run, however, the prospect of playing a central role — whether at Frankfurt or another club — could prove to be a decisive factor.
In addition to Frankfurt's watchful eyes, several other unnamed Bundesliga clubs are also reportedly interested in the midfielder.
Update (19:18 CET): BILD reports Leverkusen are aware of Frankfurt's interest and are hoping for a fee of up to €10million.
