Fans get into nasty brawl at 49ers-Rams watch party, NC State kid has problem with push-ups & ref pulls hammy

1 hour ago 11

Let's get this weekend rolling with a fresh edition of Saturday Screencaps where we get locked and loaded for a MASSIVE weekend of football. College football. B1G vs. SEC. And the NFL is finally here to keep us glued to our couches even though it's still summer.

Guys, watch the games on the patio. Get some fresh air with your 12-hour marathons. Get out of the basements. At the very least, go to the garage and tinker while the games are on.

Let's go to Los Angeles this morning where this absolute s--- show popped up in my Instagram algorithm from one of those new immersive experience theaters where fans are watching games. I've covered a ton of fan fights during my 19-year (soon to be 20-year) Internet career and this is the very first fan brawl I've witnessed inside a Cosm (that's what these places are called) theater.

GIANTS QB & INTERNET STAR GIRLFRIEND ARE RELAXED HEADING INTO CRUCIAL YEAR, FSU DISASTER & MORE LSU FAN FIGHTS

According to the guy who posted this on social media, "The GUY with the white T-shirt (49er fan) is the one who started the whole argument. He’s the one that was calling out all the LA Rams names back-and-forth the GUY without a T-shirt (LA Rams fan) AND that’s how you take down a 40 Whiner fan."

Again, that's just what the eyewitness reports. Take it with a grain of salt.

Guys, we've officially crossed a divide. There have been fights at Buffalo Wild Wings for years. We've seen fights in basic dive bars. All of that is common. We've never seen anything like this at a Cosm where tables can go upwards of $1,800 for popular events.

For today's Oklahoma-Michigan game at the Los Angeles theater, seats are going for $92 each. If you want a really good seat, it's $138.

Don't say I didn't warn you. Have your head on a swivel at Cosm if you show up for a game between heated rivals. You just never know when someone could be ready to throw punches.

By the way, we need to talk about what people are willing to pay to attend Cosm events

At Cosm Detroit, tickets for tomorrow's home opener against the Saints are going for $330 to sit and watch the immersive game.

For today's Oklahoma-Michigan game, one ticket will run you $150. Meanwhile, a ticket to get into the stadium is just $48. Sure, you still have to buy a plane ticket, but that gives you an idea of where we're at with ticketing. Are people really willing to leave their houses and pay big money to watch a game on a screen under the right circumstances? Based on the prices and seats that have been sold, it appears so.

102-year-old WWII veteran Sverre Vinje gave us a performance for the ages last night in Milwaukee

I want to end the week on this note. According to news reports, Sverre is 102 and was in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. He saw action in Iwo Jima and Okinawa. If this doesn't make you proud of this country and what we all stand for, I don't know what would. Go have yourself an incredible weekend. Do it for Sverre.

And with that, I'm off to attend a Screencaps Jr. race at one of the biggest cross country invitationals in the Midwest. The course might end up muddy with rain possibly coming in later this morning.

After that, I'll be in Detroit for a special event. More on that later. Have a great day.
