Rays vs Guardians

First pitch of Game 4 of the ALCS is tonight at 8:00 ET. The Guardians are up in the series and looking to step on the throats of the Rays. All three games have been back-and-forth battles between the two teams. In Game 1, the Rays had a lead, and the Guardians overcame the deficit late in the game. In Game 2, the Rays took the lead, but the Guardians could never get the lead. 

In Game 3, it was the Guardians who struck first, scoring in the bottom of the second. The Rays then hit a two-run triple to take the lead, but it evaporated in the bottom of the fifth. That put the game at 3-2. Tampa got a runner in scoring position with one out in the top of the 8th, but couldn’t knock him in. 

Tampa needs a win tonight to tie up the series, and they send Nick Martinez to the mound. The Guardians haven’t decided who will start, but it will likely be a bullpen game of some sort. Perhaps a starter will open the game, but don’t expect anyone to go deep into it.
