Ozzy Osbourne Made It Clear He Detests Christmas

Christmas is upon us and people are truly feeling the Holiday cheers and embracing the spirit. However, some celebrities prefer to become like The Grinch and hate Christmas for one reason or the other.

Ozzy Osbourne expressed his dislike for Christmas back in 2009 during an interview with Express, citing the excessive consumerism and the waste of wrapping paper involved in unwrapping presents. Obviously, this was a big shocker for fans.

I have to unravel all these f – – king presents. What a f – – king waste of paper.

I’ve been saying to [wife] Sharon [Osbourne] forever, ‘F – – k Christmas, I hate it.’ It’s for shopaholics and kids and so I’ve always wanted to work through Christmas.”

In 2022, the legendary musician reiterated his disdain for Christmas to Loudersound, stating that he would prefer to work through the festive period, emphasizing his absolute hatred for the holiday’s focus on shopping and children.

“I’m not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy.

What’s the f–king point in that? I’m not going up there in a f–king wheelchair.”

Osbourne cited Phil Collins, who faced similar health challenges but continued performing in a wheelchair, stating that he couldn’t envision himself doing the same. Ozzy Osbourne’s health journey includes numerous surgeries and treatments related to and unrelated to Parkinson’s disease.

I’ve seen Phil Collins perform recently, and he’s got virtually the same problems as me. He gets up there in a wheelchair! But I couldn’t do that.”

Osbourne will continue to do what he wants to in life, as he is truly one of the last of his generation – a bygone era of music that is unlikely to be replicated ever again. Even then, he’ll still hate Christmas.
