Although Cabot remains unemployed, she revealed she is competing for two senior leadership positions while also serving as an adviser to the nonprofit Pirth.org, which supports victims of online harassment. She said the role has given her a renewed sense of purpose as she works to help others navigate the kind of public scrutiny she experienced.

Looking ahead, Cabot hopes people will eventually recognize her for something far more meaningful than the infamous concert clip. She said her goal is to be remembered for encouraging healthier conversations about online behavior rather than the scandal that made headlines, according to PEOPLE.

The Coldplay Kiss Cam Changed Her Life Overnight

The viral moment that thrust Cabot into the spotlight unfolded during a Coldplay concert in July 2025 while she was attending the event with her then-boss, former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. She later said she believed Byron’s marriage was ending, much like her own.

After Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked that the pair were either “having an affair” or simply very shy, the clip exploded across social media. The backlash quickly escalated into criticism and online harassment, ultimately leading both Cabot and Byron to leave Astronomer.

Since that time, Cabot has admitted that she made a bad choice, but believes the reaction of the public was more than the mistake itself. The fallout involved death threats, she said, had a tremendous impact on her teenage children and made her reluctant to start dating again, for fear of being identified as “the Coldplay lady.”

Cabot revealed that months after leaving Astronomer, she is still unable to rebuild her career despite years of experience in human resources. The former executive admitted she is “dying to get back to work” and has yet to secure another job.

Cabot explained that finding employment has become especially urgent because she is raising her children on her own and remains financially responsible for them. She also claimed her former boss, Andy Byron, has received interest from potential employers, while she has faced far greater obstacles returning to work.

The Blast reported that she believes the fallout has affected her differently because she chose to publicly address the scandal instead of remaining silent, saying she had little choice if she wanted to rebuild her career.

Although Cabot declined to reveal private details about Byron’s marriage, she said much of what he told her “was not true”. She also confirmed they are no longer in contact, explaining that she felt abandoned after becoming the primary target of the backlash.
