Everton hold talks with agent of Leverkusen prodigy Kofane

The 19-year-old was impressive in his first season at the Rhineland club, and could already be set for a move to the English topflight.

Bayer Leverkusen can almost certainly expect interest for Christian Kofane this summer, according to X journalist ‘@DTalkingArsenal’.

Eric Depolo, Kofane’s agent, was at Everton’s training ground today to hold talks regarding a potential transfer to the Toffees.

The meeting involving the Cameroonian's representative and the blue clad club on Merseyside went very well.

Meanwhile, fellow Premier League side Arsenal remains one of several other clubs in regular contact with Kofane’s agent.

However, Everton is aware of the stiff competition in the race to sign the 19-year-old striker, and hoping to make a head start. 

Last season, Kofane was one of Leverkusen's shining lights, producing 7 goals and 4 assists across all competitions despite his age.
