Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows confirm engagement after sparking rumors with diamond ring

Jalen Hurts and Bryonna “Bry” Burrows are engaged!

The couple confirmed the happy news to Essence on Friday, less than one week after Burrows was spotted with a giant rock on her left ring finger.

Hurts popped the question while the pair were on a romantic tropical vacation during the NFL offseason.

The quarterback pulled out all the stops for the special moment, setting up roses and candles and hiring a violinist.

The Philadelphia Eagles star, 26, and his now-fianceé shared photos of their engagement with the outlet, including one of the couple holding each other close as they watched the sunset over the ocean.

Burrows and Hurts, who both wore white, looked ecstatic after the proposal, as they posed for photos.

The pair sparked management rumors last week after Burrows was pictured with a massive diamond sparkler at the Eagles game in Brazil.

Burrows, an AI specialist for IBM, joined Hurts on the sidelines ahead of the big matchup and fans caught a glimpse of the rock as she leaned in to kiss the NFL star.

“Our good sis Bry Burrows got her ring! Congrats to her and Jalen Hurts!” a fan on X wrote alongside a photo of the moment.

The couple met in 2016 at the University of Alabama, where Hurts was the star quarterback and Burrows was one of the top students in her class.

The pair dated on and off for years, however, they kept their relationship out of the public eye.

Hurts and the IT professional didn’t go public with their romance until January 2023.

After the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory, Burrows rushed down to the field to congratulate her then-boyfriend. The couple was spotted holding hands and leaving the game together.

A few months later, Hurts confirmed he was “spoken for” but insisted they were not “married” — yet.

Hurts told Essence last year that he has always known Burrows was the one.

“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts said about Burrows. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”  

In October 2023, the lovebirds made their red carpet debut at the Time100 Next Gala, where they matched in all-black looks.
