Dwyane Wade reveals what instantly arouses him about Gabrielle Union: ‘I can’t keep my hands off her’

Dwyane Wade revealed he’s instantly aroused by his wife Gabrielle Union’s signature scent.

“I love that she will mix different scents and different lotions,” Wade, 44, told People at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City on Thursday.

“She knows what I like to smell. She knows like the scents that kind of arouse me a little bit.”

He continued, “I love when I smell it, I know that it’s going to be a good night for us. Like we’re going to go out to dinner, we’re going to have a good night, and she got that scent on she knows I love, and I can’t keep my hands off of her.”

The retired NBA star is the global ambassador of Intuition, a men’s fragrance line by Aramis, which Wade describes as being “about the man who wants to wear it.”

“You want that person to be stylish, you want that person to be confident,” Wade explained. “You want that person to be someone that can move throughout the day and understand that the scent follows them.”

It would seem things have gone back to normal for Wade in the time since he revealed he had a cancerous tumor on his kidney removed in January 2025.

In a February 2025 update, his wife, 53, — who has long been open about certain aspects of her marriage — revealed her husband was cancer-free.

“He’s had the surgery, and he’s cancer-free, but it was a challenge,” Union opened up on an episode of “The View.”

At the time, Union admitted that she “was in such shock” when Wade told her the news and became “paralyzed” with fear.

“You think of the absolute worst case scenario,” she recalled. “I’ve had so many friends who are cancer survivors, [but] I didn’t go there. I went to, ‘He’s gone,’ and so it took all of us awhile.”

The issue was handled privately as Wade “didn’t tell” the public or even their “whole family” about the diagnosis, which Union felt was a “smart” choice.

“He was smart to delay talking about his diagnosis and the surgery for over a year to give us all a little time to make peace with it and let all of our very intense fears kind of dissipate a little bit,” she told the outlet.
