Driver injured in crash of SUV and horse-drawn buggy

Provincial police are investigating after a man was injured when the SUV he was driving crashed into a horse-drawn buggy in rural North Algona Wilberforce Thursday afternoon.

Officers were called to the collision scene at the intersection of Snodrifters and Letts Cemetery roads at about 5 p.m.

The SUV crashed into the rear of the buggy “being pulled by multiple horses.”

Renfrew County paramedics transported the SUV driver to hospital with minor injuries.

There were no injuries reported for the people in the buggy or the horses.

North Algona Wilberforce is about 150 km north of Ottawa in the Eganville area.
