The pursuit, which happened last Wednesday night, was captured on video shared by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
In the clip, the sheriff’s aviation unit guides deputies as they pursue the stolen vehicle through the streets of Tampa.
The chase ends when deputies stop the box truck using a spike strip to deflate the vehicle’s tires.
Once the box truck stops, a swarm of police cruisers box in the truck, with at least a dozen deputies surrounding the vehicle.
Deputies then smash the driver’s window to open the door and pull the suspect out.
According to WFLA, which obtained a Florida Highway Patrol arrest affidavit, troopers received a Be On The Lookout alert about the stolen box truck from the Largo Police Department.

The vehicle allegedly didn’t stop when troopers initiated a traffic stop, which sparked the pursuit.
As it continued into Hillsborough County, the driver’s speed allegedly varied between 80 km/h to 113 km/h.
Once the chase ended up in Tampa, the sheriff’s aviation unit got involved as the truck reportedly sped through stop signs and red lights, and drove into oncoming traffic.

Alexei Perez Aramburo, 35, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, resisting an officer without violence, grand theft motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing to elude, driving under the influence, and refusal to submit to testing.
The Cuban national was also under a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement order for removal.
