Barrymore brought up the feud allegations and pointed out to the businesswoman, saying, "People thought that we had beef — or that you had beef with me over that — and I didn't get it. I was so surprised."
Stewart clarified that her reaction on TV was not from a place of hate, instead, it was her personal preference. "Oh, I just don't like to be petted on television," Stewart said, per People Magazine. Barrymore then responded, "Understood, Martha. I won't pet you again."

The “Scream” star took it a step further and playfully caressed Stewart’s arm while still pressing on what her idea of tender treatment was.
