Cops seek two suspects, one witness

Police have released dramatic video footage of a daylight shooting involving one person being used as a “human shield” earlier this month in Hamilton.
Hamilton Police are trying to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the shooting that happened on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. at Sanford Ave. N. and King St. E.
In the video, a man is seen walking away from two people on the sidewalk and then pulling a gun and firing in their direction.
Police said two of the people in the video are suspects in the investigation.
It’s not known what led to the shootout or whether there were injuries.

The first shooter is described as a Black male in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing black pants and a black or dark blue Puma hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.
The second shooter is described as a male with a dark or tan complexion. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood down and dark pants or blue jeans.

Police said they are also reaching out to a third male who was present during the shootout and is considered a witness. Cops said that person was used as a “human shield during the exchange of gunfire. He is described as a Black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
“This individual’s account could be critical in bringing clarity to the events that transpired, and we urge him to come forward,” police said in a news release issued on Tuesday.
