Borussia Dortmund youngster Samuele Inacio made a nightmare start to the new Bundesliga season, as he was sent off just three minutes after coming on in his side’s 2-0 win over Hamburger SV last Saturday.

The red card, shown after a reckless challenge on HSV’s Albert Grønbæk, has now resulted in the DFB sports court handing Inacio a two-match suspension for “serious foul play”.

The 18-year-old will therefore miss Dortmund’s away game against Hoffenheim on Saturday, as well as their home clash with Paderborn a week later on September 12.

However, Inacio will be available for Tuesday’s DFB-Pokal first-round tie against fifth-tier side HEBC Hamburg, while the suspension does not affect his availability for Dortmund’s Champions League opener against Villarreal on September 8.
