According to a report in Spanish sports daily AS, Borussia Dortmund's Gregor Kobel has seemingly been offered to Real Madrid.

Speculation suggests that the 28-year-old's agents are looking to capitalize on Thibaut Courtois' stalled contract talks.

With the Belgian international's current deal set to expire next summer, the Galacticos are pushing to extend his contract until 2028.

The Spanish record champions are keeping a close eye on Kobel, but their interest hasn't progressed beyond that point so far.

If for any reason Courtois decides to move on from Real Madrid – thought to be unlikely – Kobel would be an optimal replacement.

Incidentally, the Swiss shot-stopper's contract with Dortmund only runs until 2028 – as will likely be Courtois new contract in Madrid soon.

Having established into one of the game's best goalkeepers, Transfermarkt.com estimates Kobel's value to be around €40million.
