Borussia Dortmund and Sebastian Kehl have, according to Sky Germany's sources, agreed to terminate the contract running until 2027.

This is intended to be a clean and fair solution for all parties involved, meaning no bad blood or potential legal disputes going forward.

The only  matter that Dortmund is concerned about is Kehl's remaining salary payments totaling around €2million.

According to BILD, the the 46-year-old is expected to receive a severance package of approximately €1.5million.

Kehl will receive his well-deserved farewell in front of the fans tomorrow evening during BVB's home match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Regarding his future, he is considered a leading candidate for the position of Sporting Director at Tottenham Hotspur.
