RB Leipzig regained control of second place in the Bundesliga table with a 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart, much to the delight of David Raum.

“We came out on top of a must-win match and were able to get an important victory against one of our direct competitors.

“It's a great home win for us, and one that we worked hard for. Three wins from three this week is exactly what we'd hoped for. We're all happy,” he added.

The club's captain emphasized the importance of their togetherness and workrate as a squad which impacts their fine run of form.

"Rômulo's goal at the end was the result of relentless pressure - he doesn't stop until the final whistle goes.

"Everyone is willing to put in the hard yards for each other, including those that come off the bench.

"Every win at the minute is the result of a solid team performance. That's why I'm feeling incredibly proud of the team today."

“If we keep playing the way we did today and give it our all, then we will continue to add to our unbeaten run,” the 27-year-old added.
