Daniel Thioune on Marco Grull: "For me, he was the best player on the pitch"

Following Werder Bremen's sensational 3-1 win at home to RB Leipzig, head coach Daniel Thioune spoke highly of his winger Marco Grull.

The Austrian was a top performer, both scoring and assisting while providing plenty of help and support on the defensive end.

“It was an outstanding performance from Grull," said Thioune. 

“He's a hard worker, and for our idea against the ball we need a player who's tactical, always on the pitch and in the right situations.”

“On the ball he was also amazing, he always takes the ball, gives the ball, passes it. It was his corner kick we scored from also.” 

"For me, he was the best player on the pitch.”
