Investigators have released new details about a man riding a motorcycle who they say allegedly injured a police officer near Rogers Centre over the weekend.

According to Toronto Police, a motorcycle was seen popping wheelies in the Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Rees St. area. on Saturday.

Police say, at approximately 6 p.m., an officer attempted to stop the motorcycle at Bremner Blvd. and Rees St. However, the motorcycle struck the officer and fled the scene.

The officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops say.

On Wednesday, investigators released a short video from a body-worn camera showing an officer trying to stop the motorcycle.

Cops allege the motorcycle rider fled the scene westbound on Bremner and struck a vehicle at Navy Wharf Court. He then fled from that collision in an unknown direction.

The driver of the motorcycle is described as wearing a green helmet, a blue and green shirt, grey pants, red gloves, and white and grey Nike Jordan shoes. The motorcycle is described as a blue and red sport bike and has red stunt cages on it. The helmet is a green ICON Manik’R model.

A 26-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting an underage victim in Etobicoke earlier this month.

Toronto Police say, on Aug. 18 at 8 p.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Annie Craig Dr. and The Marginal Blvd. area, near Humber Bay Shores Park.

Cops allege the victim was in a sauna when a man approached and sexually assaulted them before fleeing.

On Wednesday, police said Aimal Salamzada, of Toronto, was charged with sexual assault on a person under the age of 16, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.

Investigators believe that there may be more victims.

Police say, on Friday at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Ossington Ave. and Dundas St. W. area.

The suspect allegedly approached the victim while on board a TTC streetcar, exposed himself and sexually assaulted the victim. Cops say the suspect then fled from the streetcar.

The suspect and the victim are not known to each other, police added.

The suspect is 6-foot with a medium build, short hair and a black beard. The suspect was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans with a black baseball cap, and was carrying a backpack.

Three male suspects are sought after two people were assaulted in Oshawa earlier this month.

Durham Regional Police say, on Aug. 10 at approximately 3 a.m., officers responded to an assault call in the area of Simcoe St. S. and John St. E.

Police allege that three males approached a group of individuals in an assaultive manner. A dispute occurred resulting in the three suspects physically assaulting a male and a female.

Cops say the suspects fled before officers arrived.

According to police, the victims sustained serious injuries and were treated at the scene.

The suspects are described as white and between 16 to 20 years old.

The first suspect is approximately 5-foot-8 with a slim build and shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build and shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweater and blue jeans.

The third suspect is approximately 5-foot-10 with brown hair and a slim build. He was wearing a red T-shirt and black jeans.

OFFICER ASSAULTED IN PORT PERRY: COPS

A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a police officer was allegedly assaulted during an arrest for public intoxication in Port Perry.

Durham Regional Police say the incident occurred Wednesday at approximately 12:35 a.m.

According to police, officers were patrolling in the area of Water and Scugog Sts. when they noticed four suspicious people in a parking lot outside a closed restaurant.

Officers saw three people drinking from alcohol containers and demanded identification.

Cops say two males were co-operative. However, a third man allegedly refused to co-operate with police and became irate and made assaultive motions toward the officers.

After multiple warnings, the man was taken into custody by police but allegedly attempted to resist arrest and struck an officer, police say.

The officer sustained minor injuries.

Bradley Douglas Cox, of Port Perry, is charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, being intoxicated in a public place, and having open liquor in an unauthorized place.

MAN ACCUSED OF HARDWARE STORE BREAK-IN

A 43-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly broke into a hardware store in Bowmanville.

According to Durham Regional Police, cops responded early Wednesday morning to a break-and-enter at the Peavey Mart on Baseline Rd.

Police allege a man broke into the back of the business and loaded stolen items into a nearby van.

When cops arrived, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Police later determined that the licence plates on the suspect’s van were stolen.

Timotei Ember, from Bright, is charged with break-and-enter, theft under $5,000, two counts of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, mischief under $5,000, and possessing break-in instruments.

COPS PROBE ARMED OAKVILLE HOME INVASION

Police are investigating an armed home invasion in Oakville that ended with a BMW being stolen.

Halton Regional Police say, on Tuesday at approximately 1:30 a.m., a group of three male suspects broke into a home on Spruce St.

According to police, the suspects allegedly smashed a glass door at the rear of the home with a rock.

The suspects were wearing masks and allegedly threatened the residents of the home with a gun and demanded keys to their BMW sedan, cops allege. Police said the suspects then took the keys and fled in the vehicle.

Police say the victims were not physically injured during the home invasion.

The suspects were all wearing dark clothing and disguises, cops say.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any video footage near the intersection of Trafalgar and Cornwall Rds. between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
