Kim Zolciak is dealing with another troubling headline involving one of her sons, but the incident at the center of the story is not exactly new.
The incident dates back to July, when police were called to a Georgia equestrian property following a complaint involving one of Kim’s sons. The details are only coming to light now, bringing renewed attention to a family that has faced several difficult headlines involving her children.
Kim Zolciak’s son Kroy Biermann Jr. has faced his own share of serious legal trouble in recent months, putting even more attention on the family. The 15-year-old was arrested in August and is facing felony charges stemming from a separate alleged incident involving a female classmate, allegations he has denied.
Kim Zolciak’s Son Was Accused Of Causing Trouble Near A Horse Ranch
Ralph Notaro / MEGAThe latest headline stems from an incident at the Equestrian Reserve in Alpharetta, Georgia, which sits across the street from Kim’s home. A ranch employee told police she believed one of Kim’s children had been firing pellets from the home toward the property and believed the behavior was intended to frighten the horses.
The child’s name was redacted from the police report, and the employee could not provide officers with a detailed description. When police later went to Kim’s home, two boys answered the door, and one of them, identified as Kim’s son, admitted to firing the pellet gun while denying that he was trying to hit the horses or anyone else.
The incident, however, occurred well before the story broke. The police report listed on July 14, 2026, did not list any arrests or charges made in relation to the complaint, making the September report not a new police complaint but a “reopening” of an older case.
Police Found The Evidence Of The Complaint Near The Ranch
ROKA / MEGAAccording to the police report obtained by TMZ, the responding officer said they “saw 20 to 30 pellets scattered along the roadway” beside the equestrian property.
The discovery added a physical detail to the employee’s complaint, although the report did not establish that the pellets were the same ones allegedly fired by Kim’s son. The ranch employee also told police that this was not the first issue she had experienced with children at Kim’s home.
She alleged that fireworks had previously been discharged from the property and described the children as “verbally rude and uncooperative” when confronted, suggesting the July complaint came after earlier tensions between the neighboring properties.
That history gives the resurfaced report a wider context, especially as Kim’s family has been dealing with other legal headlines involving her children. It was recently reported that her son KJ had been released from jail while facing separate allegations, meaning the pellet-gun complaint is not the only recent trouble involving the family.
- Kim Zolciak recently shaded Kroy Biermann by seemingly calling herself his “provider.”
- There has been a back-and-forth about a possible love square involving Kim and her estranged husband.
- Kim Zolciak tried to change her custody arrangement with Kroy again.
- Kim has her daughter, Ariana Biermann, on her side amid the ongoing divorce drama.
- She dragged her estranged husband’s pal into their bitter divorce battle.
- Kim Zolciak was dragged into her BF’s marriage drama while she is also dealing with her own issues.
Kim Zolciak’s Son Legal Trouble Has Added To The Family Struggles
The pellet-gun complaint surfaced as Kim was already dealing with another serious legal matter involving her son, KJ. The 15-year-old had recently been released from juvenile detention after spending nearly a month in custody following his August 17 arrest.
KJ was released on a $200,000 bond with strict conditions, including living with his mother, attending school virtually, staying off social media, and avoiding contact with the alleged victim, her family, and other minors. He is facing seven felony charges stemming from an April 23 incident at a Georgia gym.
The case was also advancing while KJ was back home, with prosecutors seeking a forensic interview involving minors connected to the investigation.
The Blast reported that an emergency motion for the interviews was filed September 17, adding another development to the legal situation Kim has been navigating as her son awaits his next court proceedings.
Kroy Biermann Jr.’s Age Could Shape What Happens Next
KJ Biermann’s age could become a major factor as his legal case moves forward. The teenager was 15 when he was arrested and was 14 at the time of the alleged April incident, a distinction his defense has repeatedly emphasized.
His attorney, Jason Sheffield, has pushed for the case to remain in juvenile court, arguing that KJ’s age and developmental status should be considered.
The defense has also pointed to his academic and athletic background, community ties, and lack of flight risk while challenging the prospect of treating him as an adult defendant.
As KJ remains at home under strict bond conditions, the question of where his case will ultimately be handled remains unresolved. The Blast previously reported that his legal team has continued fighting over his age and the appropriate court as his criminal proceedings advance.
Kim Zolciak’s Son Faces A Future Far Different From His Old Life
MEGAKJ’s return home does not mean a return to normal. If he remains out of custody while the case moves forward, the restrictions surrounding his release could dramatically reshape his daily life, from how he attends school to who he can communicate with and how closely his movements are monitored.
The situation also places Kim in a difficult position as she takes on responsibility for her teenage son. At the same time, his attorneys continue fighting over his future in the justice system.
KJ’s defense has emphasized his age, academic record, athletic background, and ties to his community, while prosecutors continue pursuing additional information as the case develops.
With a forensic interview involving minors already being sought and KJ’s October 14 plea and arraignment hearing approaching, there is still plenty left to unfold.
For Kim, having her son back under her roof could mark the beginning of a completely different kind of family battle, one that extends well beyond simply getting him released.
With an old pellet-gun complaint resurfacing and KJ Biermann’s separate legal case still unfolding, what comes next for Kim Zolciak and her family?
