Antonio Di Salvo's side continue their qualifying campaign for the 2027 U21 Euros with a trip to Latvia. The three-time winners are currently top of Group F thanks to a better goal difference than Greece, with both sides having a perfect record outside their head-to-head games.

While the likes of Finn Jeltsch, Lennart Karl and Said El Mala are with the senior national team, Di Salvo called seven uncapped players to his squad for the extended international break, including the US-German defender Noahkai Banks and former U20 World Cup winners Francis Onyeka and Paris Brunner.

Germany won the reverse fixture 5-0, with Nicolo Tresoldi scoring a hat-trick before the hour mark. The Club Brugge striker keeps his place upfront as he's still undecided whether to represent Germany or Italy at senior level.
