It’s looking like a bumpy weather ride in the Capital in the lead-up to New Year’s Day.
So buckle up.
Friday began in freezing conditions, with a forecast high of -10 C, with wind chill making it “feel like” -19 in the morning and -13 in the afternoon.
A cloudy Friday night brings with it a low of -11 C and a wind chill reading of about -16.
Saturday looks ominous, with periods of freezing rain beginning in the morning, with a “risk of freezing drizzle.” The high is expected to get to about -2 C, but the wind could make it feel like -15 in the morning and -7 in the afternoon.
