Brooke Hogan Zeros In On Feud With Brother Nick Who Didn’t Have ‘The Stones To Speak Up’

Brooke Hogan is opening up about the family conflict that changed her relationship with her brother, Nick Hogan.

The siblings once shared concerns about their father’s relationship but eventually handled those concerns very differently. Brooke’s bone of contention is that Nick did not join her to present a united front.

Brooke Hogan and Nick Hogan have remained connected through years of family changes and difficult moments. Their relationship became more complicated after Hulk’s marriage to Sky Daily, and the tension continued following their father’s death in July 2025.

Brooke Hogan Says Her Feud With Nick Hogan Started Over Their Dad

Brooke says her relationship with Nick gradually became distant after their father began dating Daily. She explained that the problem was not really Daily herself, but what the siblings believed their father’s relationship meant. Both children knew their father had a pattern of struggling to remain alone.

“We both agreed that he’s somebody that needs a companion,” Brooke said. She recalled that Hulk had previously told her he would never get married again.

When Hulk married Daily in September 2023, Brooke said the decision made her pause. She reportedly had messages showing how Nick and his wife, Tana Lea, shared similar concerns about the situation.

She said they may have even had “more disdain” for it than she did. However, Brooke felt her brother failed to stand with her when it was time to make their concerns known.

Us Magazine reported that the sister described her brother as non-confrontational and someone who is good at keeping the peace. She questioned whose benefit that approach served when difficult family issues needed to be addressed. Looking back, she wishes Nick “had the stones to speak up” about their father’s relationship.

Brooke Is Still Open To Reconciliation With Her Brother

Brooke believes the disagreement with Nick was about more than simply having different opinions about their father. “I always stress this to him: when you’re financially independent, you can be honest,” Brooke explained.

She said independence allows someone to risk upsetting another person by telling them the truth. She felt Nick’s position made it harder for him to be direct.

The siblings last spoke at length before their dad died from a heart attack in July 2025. Brooke said she had still been sending Nick medical notes she had collected over the years because she wanted to help from a distance.

After their father’s death, she asked Nick for one of Hulk’s crosses. Nick gave her two crosses, but Brooke said neither was one she recognized as something their father regularly wore. She received a wooden cross and a silver one instead. 

The entrepreneur has also made it clear that reconciliation with her brother would require more than public compliments or surface-level praise. She wants to see genuine changes in how he treats her privately.

“With Nick, I would have to see some empathy,” Brooke said. She added that she would need to see “some effort” and “some actual respect, not fake praise.”

Nick Hogan’s Public Praise Does Not Match Brooke Hogan’s Reality

Nick has spoken positively about Brooke while discussing his family after their father’s death. He praised several developments in Brooke’s life. He called Brooke a “phenomenal interior decorator” and praised her new television venture. He also mentioned her marriage and the arrival of her twins, Oliver and Molly.

Nick said he was “so proud” and described it as an “exciting time.” The Blast reported that Nick also spoke about his family’s support for their various projects. He said, “My entire family has been so supportive of everything that we’re doing.” He followed that by saying, “So, we’re in a really good place.”

The actress later offered a different description of her relationship with Nick. She said the siblings were “not in communication” despite the positive comments surrounding their family. That difference has made their relationship especially difficult to understand from the outside.

She has previously said the saddest part of broken families can be the relationship between siblings. She revealed she was raised to believe brothers and sisters should have each other’s backs. 

Still, Brooke has not reduced her brother to the conflict between them. She has described Nick as kind, smart, and someone who loves animals. Her comments show that her anger exists alongside affection for the brother she still remembers.

Nick has also continued taking on responsibilities connected to their father’s legacy. He became the sole heir to Hulk’s estate and took a larger role in the SLAM Sports Bar. 

Brooke Revealed That Her Father Slept With Her Friend

The former reality star has previously identified her father’s affair with one of her best friends, Christiane Plante, as a major turning point. Brooke says that experience changed something between her and her late father.

“A major turning point came after he slept with my friend Christiane [Plante],” Brooke said. She explained that she forgave him, but their relationship changed afterward.

She shared that she also felt Hulk never related to her in quite the same way again. The Blast shared that Brooke connected another major shift to her parents’ divorce.

She said, “Then the divorce happened, and our entire family structure changed.” She felt the relationship she believed could survive anything could not survive everything happening around them.

The 38-year-old says she still remembers Hulk as an excellent father. She said their foundation had once been incredibly strong and that she felt safe with him.

Brooke eventually became exhausted from trying to repair the relationship. She stepped back while pregnant with her twins and preparing for a C-section. Her husband, Steven Oleksy, also attempted to reach out to Hulk during that period.

She reportedly described her family as containing “dysfunction, fear, resentment, enormous betrayal, money, fame, image management, and decades of unresolved hurt.” She has also stressed that those problems existed alongside tremendous love and wonderful memories.

Brooke Hogan Says Her Mother’s Estrangement Is Also Complicated

The singer has also described a separate estrangement from her mother, Linda Hogan. She recently pushed back after hearing that Linda was “hurt” and “confused” about their relationship.

Brooke said she had a text message from her mother that she considered deeply inappropriate. The Blast noted that Brooke described the message as “one of the most vile text messages” she had seen from another person. 

She said she would be embarrassed to release it publicly unless she needed to correct what she believed was a false narrative. Brooke also said she did not want to publicly fight with her mother. She also remembered “endless tension,” scrutiny, arguments, and pressure to perform during her childhood. 

The mother of two revealed that it felt like everyone was constantly “walking on eggshells.” “I’m not going to rewrite my childhood and pretend every second was horrible,” Brooke said. She explained that what she misses is what she always hoped the family could eventually become. 

Brooke’s complicated relationship with Hulk also remained unresolved when he died. She had not spoken with him for two years before his passing. She said his decision to go in a different direction was painful, especially because she felt powerless against outside influences.
